1.25 Tsavorite ring

I don't have an eye to distinguish stone quality, but this caught my eye tonight looking on etsy. For being a tsav..it seems a bit on the darker side and cant see the sparkle their known for?

The stone is not vintage to the ring, so you know. Tsavorite was discovered in the late 60's, and the ring is being advertised as circa 1950's.

yep. I knew it was not an original setting. but still seemed like a nicely put together piece.. (to my untrained eye. lol)

it definitely looks to be on the dark side. But its funny - I don't think of tsavorites as particularly sparkly; I see them as having great color. Their siblings demantoids, however, are the bomb when it comes to scintillation and dispersion.
