HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!!

I have been on the look for a (lab) emerald cut diamond in the 1.1CT to 1.25CT range and an elongated shape. I am trying to avoid getting a lifeless chunk of stone and a beautiful bold flashing emerald and as a Canadian buying and returning an online purchase is a royal PITA.

Thoughts on this stone? Pull the plug or keep looking?

Thanks for your input!

Absolutely beautiful...great facet action! I'd say you have a winner here.

I am thinking of setting this stone in a 14k yellow gold split shank solitaire ring with yellow gold prongs. Ideally, I would go to platinum or at least white gold head but this would require to go with a custom or more expensive design. I have already blown a bunch of the ring budget on FX exchange penalties and customs in a past failed ring purchase (ouch, an expensive mistake that leaves me ill to the stomach :( ).

Will the yellow prongs be cast into the stone? Will I regret setting an E in yellow?

I don't think you'll regret ANY portion of this process :kiss2: If anything, the yellow gold might make the stone look whiter by contrast

It’s gorgeous! As a fellow Canadian I just want to say I can relate to the PITA part of online ordering. Can’t wait to see the finished product!!

Depends on if you are color sensitive or not. If you are, setting in yellow gold may add some color especially in a EC.
