I am looking at two different diamonds.

GIA
Round Brilliant Diamond
1.12 Carat Diamond
Color G
VS2
Cut: Ideal

9,200 from local jewelry store

EGL
Round Brilliant Diamond
1.14 Carat Diamond
Color F
VS2
Make (Cut): Super Ideal
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Excellent
Cut Grade: Ideal

5,400 dollars from Brilliance.com

My question is whether these diamonds are comparable. 9,200 dollars is going to be a stretch for me to afford. I could buy the 5,400 dollar diamond tomorrow, but I wouldn't be able to see it before purchasing. I know that GIA is a more reliable certification. The EGL has better specifications, so if they rate a G as F I am still as good as the original. I am not going to put the certification in the box and I am not concerned with the certification. I am concerned with the looks of the diamond. What should i do? Stay away from Brilliance.com all together? Stay away from the EGL certified diamonds? Wait till I can afford the GIA? Or spring for the EGL from brilliance? Too many options!!

Huge difference. Do the research. Check my post: "Diamond doesn't match certificate". There is so much on this site about the differences. Post in "rocky talk" and people will see it and tell you.
