1.02 round brilliant

PA marginally higher than what would work with a 35.5 CA (PA of 40.6 can work paired with 35.5 CA). Apart from that, the rest of the numbers look good.

Nice and clean plot (as expected for a VVS1).

Unfortunately BN don’t make it easy to check light performance for MRB’s as they don’t provide IS or ASET images.

What is your budget, where are you buying from and what specs would you prefer? More of us helping you out in the search can make things easier rather than doing it all by yourself.

Budget is around $8000. Looking for at least a carat. And obviously want some good specs on it.

Not a terrible stone (my sweet spot for color and VVS stones are definitely eye clean) but the CA is a little too high for the PA (35.5 CA can work sometimes with a 40.6 PA). If you'd be willing to drop slightly in clarity you could get this super ideal cut diamond for roughly the same price: https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3893609.htm

That's a nice stone. I was searching whiteflash but found a setting I liked more at blue nile.

Can you post the B N setting you like?

Stones:
#1. https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...-color-vvs2-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-3687391 {great angles, well worth requesting and IS and bigger than the BN choice}

#2. https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...rat-g-color-vs2-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-3151850 {tiny inclusion on table will be impossible to see with bare eye - unless you have super eagle vision :mrgreen2:}

#3. https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...rat-g-color-vs2-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-3634660 {additional clouds need to be reviewed by JA gemologist, but rarely if ever an issue at VS2}

#4. https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...rat-g-color-vs2-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-3639894 {great angles, great IS image}***

#5. https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-di...rat-g-color-vs2-clarity-ideal-cut-sku-2653908

#6. https://www.whiteflash.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut-loose-diamond-3893609.htm {super ideal}

JA will give you three IS images for diamonds per email. See what others post, but I like #1 very much and would put it and #4 on hold (free).

This is great so far thanx rockysalamader!
I think I'm leaning towards the super ideal cuts now. And putting a little more money in to get in that D-F range on color and high on clarity.
How do you go about putting some of these on hold?

You can add it to your cart and then on the lower left, you will see "chat now". On Chat, as that the diamonds in your cart (up to three) are placed on hold. Ask for an IS for any that don't have them. JA is very nice to work with. More to come on super-ideals...

p.s. Unless your girl is very color sensitive, I would stick with G. Few can see the difference between F and G. In a super-ideal, you may be able to drop to an H and have a similar look in the end.

We went and looked at a few and I agree G is acceptable to us, was just hoping to reach into that F range, although not a dealbreaker
