and their dimensions are
64(depth), 59(table) VS 61.3(depth),54(Table)
ROUND, GIA cert

Is it worth to spend 660 dollars more to get a better cut stone?
(Ideal-->Prime)
Which one should I choose?
Am I going to able to tell apart much?

Thanks

Hey dude, the first stone (the F) is not an ideal cut. It's pretty deep, and it's going to look smaller than the second stone. I'd go with the second one. However, I'd ask for sarin info on the G. Who's selling these stones anyway? Outside of the realm of steaks, I've never heard of a "prime" cut.

1.01 cts, 64 depth, thick girdle definitely reminds me of a 0.9cts (not a great cut one, most likely).

Both stones are remotely "prime" or anything without the right specs confirming it: rounds are sold with cut quality grades these days...

I mostly wanted to show what the last ~0.1 of a carat (and slight diameter difference) does to price near the 1 carat mark

Thanks for the nice replies.

i guess i should pay 600 some more dollars and get the second rock.

Did not know that it is going to be that different...

will need another month to pay off...(and that hurts)

Wait! Dont give up yet. Go for a H-I SI1 - SI2 nonbranded ideal cut and you can come in under budget. Do a search on PS. I've seen several under 4k, but I don't know how to link to this page.

Does that mean that F,G, and H colors are all about the same?
Bare eyes can not tell differences?

Well, some can and some can't. I've got an ideal cut ags 000 I color stone (GIA certified) and no one can see any color in it -- in fact, everyone always comes up to me to tell me how "white and sparkly" my stone is. Go figure. It never looks yellow to me at all.

Some people are color sensitive. An H will never ever look tacky, nor will an I or even a well-cut J. Since you're working with a budget (aren't we all?) I'd recommend an H-I color, especially since you seem intent on staying above the 1 ct mark.
