Hi All,

It's me again, who needs help again

Two bluenile signature diamonds ( not that I particular fancy this site, but because of its affordable price and my tiny budget
38.gif

They are at the same price range, and it's my top end budget really ... can't keep increasing it again.

Me: sensitive to cololr, impressed the shop assistance as I could tell difference between D and E.
Also had unlucky experience previously because I see inclusions in VS1 stone.
Still greedy to get over 0.9ct diamond.. sorry, i know i have to compromise one thing or another.

Would I see the difference between 0.2mm?
Would I see the color difference ?.. probably when they are side by side.

What is your budget?

Prefer the 0.81c in terms of cut. The 0.91c is slightly steep in the pavilion and I do not know how to read the light return pic of the GCAL image so not trusting that.

up to £4300(inc tax 15%) for the diamond.. We''ve got the setting ready at local shop.

Thanks Stone-cold11, will take a look.
Wondering if this signature stone''s as good as hart and arrow stone ?

I checked on A, HCA = 0.9
B, HCA = 2.9 with the degree.

I am bit keen on the D VS1 one just for the sake of piece of mind of its good quality and cut.
bit concerned about its heart and arrow graph in the GCAL report as it doesn''t look that goood comparing to F VS2 one.

Also do normal people ( well.... ) can tell difference between 0.9 ct and 0.8 ct 0.2mm lenght ?

I hope my search can be over one day.. sighhhh

I''m not going to offer you advice on these two because they seem similar to me but best wishes! I''m someone who couldn''t care less about color and is a big fan of high clarity. Also, I don''t care anything about the difference .8 and .9, but you have to decide, and it seems that you care about each of these parameters in terms of wanting them high on the scale!

I prefer the .81

I prefer the smaller one because of the angle ranges and it has an AGS0 cut grade. The GIA graded diamond means the numbers are rounded and the pavilion angle is on the steep side.

Many many thanks again !

It looks excellent Gemma! Both this and the .81 could be excellent choices, I am just wondering if VS1 might be the best choice for clarity just to make sure? Who has this latest diamond - which seller?

Yap, JA will give IS image on request. They will put the stone on hold for you when you ask for the IS, until 24hrs after they deliver the IS. Call JA up to ask if it is eye-clean.

Good to know that they can check if it''s eye-clean for me..
So i will need to call them up, ask for IS image, and then ask them to check if it''s eye clean.

.. great.. how long could they hold it for ?

Thanks to you both !.

Lorelei, the latest is the JA stone I suggested.

Ah ok, I must have got confused!

It looks good!

I was just thinking Gemma, with the diamond above that SC suggested, as it is an in house diamond and James Allen have a gemologist called Julianna working there, ask if she can check it over for you for ' eyecleanliness.' That way if she gives you the thumbs up that it is totally eyeclean from all angles ( explain how important that is to you) then it could be of tremendous help! If this one checks out it could be gorgeous!

Gemma,

Im from UK too and have just purchased a 0.81 F VS1 from Brian Gavin Diamonds, it the most ice white diamond Ive seen... Including a basic 6 prong 14k white gold setting, import tax, VAT and FedEx charges it came in considerably lower than your budget, (sorry cant disclose the figure, the gf might be reading this in the future)

The whole process of buying from the US was quite painless. From the date of contacting them to receive the diamond was 14 days, which was including a trip to an independent appraiser and setting. The only catch is during delivery, you need to keep an eye on the tracking, it might get held at customs stanstead. Nothing that a quick call with your credit card details cant sort out…
