Hello,

I''m planing on purchasing a 0.8 diamond from Bluenile. I''m looking at the classic settings.

http://de.bluenile.co.uk/diamond-engagement-ring-setting-platinum_8027

Has anyone purchased/seen this?
Will it suite the diamond with a 50.5mm (k.5) ring size?
Should I get the the 2.5mm or 2mm?

Thanks,
James

no one has purchased/seen this setting?

I haven''t seen it or purchased it, but it looks like a classic setting and I think it would look lovely

It''s a beautiful and classic setting! She''ll love it. As for the shank, I think you should go for the 2mm. I know that the difference isn''t much between 2.5 to 2 but I feel that the 2mm would be daintier (since it''s thinner) and will make the diamond pop just a little bit more than the 2.5mm. But if she doesn''t want something very dainty, then 2.5mm would be the better choice. I hope that helps!

I think it is a nice classic band also. I think the 2mm would be more in proportion with a .8 stone.
Congratulations...come back with pics please!

I would go with the 2mm as well.

i like it. you can''t go wrong with it!

unlike the others, however, i''m a fan of wider bands. my own ering is similar to the tiffany lucida (with a princess). hence, i say, go for the wider one!

it''s really hard for any of us to predict what she would want. see if you can somehow (?) get her opinion on styles. i know a lot of girls who prefer wider bands.

good luck!

My sister has this setting with a 0.6 ct and I love it. The diamond is set really low which is nice on a setting of this type. I've had a few of these types of settings from other vendors here and this is by far my favourite of them.

ETA: she has the 2mm

It will be lovely and I think a 2mm would look great.

I think the 2mm will be lovely!!!
