Hey everyone,

Need some help. I'm a little nervous and unsure, and looking for some experienced advice. Willing to learn and listen to suggestions, so please don't hesitate to let me know your thoughts, its appreciated.

Looking for a Oval, around 1.5 carats give or take. D-F colour and VS2+. Here are several that I've looked at. Trying to do my best to eliminate the bowtie effect, and balance the best brilliance while leaning towards the higher L/W ratios

The fourth one has sold. Did you buy it?

I'd consider this one. The Elyques face up slightly smaller than traditional ovals, but they are cut to eliminate the bow tie effect, and they sparkle like mad.

Here is a video that another PSer took of mine last weekend.

Elyque’s are cut deeper, so they do face up smaller, but Starfacet’s elyque was truly impressive and it has no bow tie. I think it’s worth thinking about.

Need your suggestions for the ring. I like the twisted pave, but worried that it would take away from the diamond, and look bulky. I'm also starting to think a round diamond would match-up better with the pave ring.

Not adverse to a plain platinum solitaire. Any suggestions of one that works well with an oval, is delicate and doesnt take away from the diamond. Thanks.

i like the second one much better. the twisted pave is distracting and I agree it looks bulky in the IRL pictures they have on the website. The plain petite pave looks significantly better, and I think looks nice with an oval shape.

Other options that I like with an oval shape:

I love the lotus basket and the knife edge style, but obviously you know your GF better than I do, so you could likely speak to her taste and think about whether she would like that style or not.

If you go for the petite pave, I would get it in this cathedral style because it seems safer to me:

OP, check out Diamonds by Lauren. I believe David has some ovals in hand with good spread and minimal bow tie effect.

I don’t particularly care for any of these because of the prominent bow ties combined with the crushed ice look.

I’ll try to find some.
