Sunshine 812 posted this incredible oval halo ring on the Show Me the Bling forum at PriceScope. The light play on this ring is phenomenal, the contrast between the diamonds and that rose gold is beautiful. Ovals can be tricky, but this one is a knock out!
Ovals are not everyone’s fancy and that is typically because of the polarizing interest in the bow tie effect. The bow tie is created because when a typical oval is cut, light doesn’t bounce back in the center and it can appear darker. Some people love the bow tie, but some don’t, and Sunshine 812 does not. Enter Rhino at August Vintage who has created the “Elyque” which seemingly is an oval with no bow tie. This ring is a fantastic example of this cut, it’s just gorgeous!
