April, the diamond month, always a PS fave! Focusing on the present is wonderful, but we love to look back too! Fine jewelry is always worth focusing on for us!
On Throwback Thursdays, we here at PriceScope celebrate the jewels of our past. Every day on the Show Me the Bling! forum, Community members share their new bling for us all to enjoy. We’ve accumulated over a decade worth of fabulous additions from our members. The community at PriceScope is like no other, and it’s fantastic to get more chances to cheer for each other!
Throwback Thursday is posted each week on the PriceScope Facebook Page. On the last Thursday of the month, we will share them in one post so everyone can enjoy them. Onward to the Throwbacks for April 2023! Watch for the Jewel of the Week round-up for the new jewelry pieces we’ve featured from PS Community Members on the last Friday of each month.
Iknvrb4 shared this stunning diamond reset in white gold halo ring with us in 2014. This is magnificent, the finger coverage is near perfection. This is one that I keep in my goals folder, I just love it. The milgrain is excellent and Iknvrb4’s diamond “Charlotte” is gorgeous in this setting. A lady likes a new dress from time to time, and Charlotte was ready for hers. I think this one looks like home though, it would be hard to beat!
Center Diamond is a 1.57 J SI1 (GIA) the setting is a 5.5 and the melee are G, VS2. Iknv2b4 didn’t have the exact carat weight of the ring but the halo melee are 1 pointers.
LLJsmom shared this vintage octagonal solitaire with french-cut diamonds with us in 2017. YES! This is beautiful and just sparks joy as Marie Kondo might say. I can’t help but smile looking at it and I hope that it’s bringing LLJsmom a ton of joy all the time! The shape is interesting and eye-catching and that diamond is a stunner. Incredible!
GIA OEC
Carat Weight: 3.04

LALove shared this stellar antique cushion diamond ring in a two-sided halo setting with us in 2016. There is no denying the beauty in this ring, it’s classically lovely. The halo let’s the center stone sing, and the it looks fetching on her finger. Love this, it’s truly beautiful. Since the original posting this antique cushion was reset into a three-stone and then was sold (unless it was just the setting that ultimately sold). It was gorgeous in all it’s forms Hope that the newer projects are as satisfying!
Ally T shared this beautiful pear shaped diamond ring re-set with us in late 2013. This is scrumptious, the pear looks lovely on her finger. After some really bad luck with a previous setting and a jeweler making the situation worse when attempting repairs. That is any PriceScoper’s nightmare, we trust our jewelers to take the best care of our collections as possible! We are so glad that there is a happy ending to this story and a gorgeous re-set brought Ally T’s love for this diamond back!
Carat Weight: 1.02
Color Grade: D
Clarity: VS2
