Still gathering info .. hope to have some news or, perhaps, another plea for advice with specific details in the next couple of days.

Deco -- I can understand why you fell in love with those earrings -- what an unusual, classy, perfectly executed design! That said, there''s no way I''d pay 3 grand for a pair. Let me rephrase that ... I don''t think there''s any way I''d pay $3 grand for a pair! I never thought I''d consider paying 1 grand for one or two hundred dollars worth of gold, either, until I had a chance to try on a Cartier rolling ring! So... I think you should hop on over to Cartier to try those on before you commission someone to make something similar. You''ll get to be certain, at no cost, whether or not this general size and shape is right for you. And maybe you can even get some more pictures to post.

Just make sure you a few lower quotes, maybe from BGD or HOW, in mind when you do, as insurance against an impulse buy!
