Hi all,

Sorry for my bad english. I have done my one week research to find budget e-ring.

Im happy that I found this forum and would like to know your opinion for my research.

Since my budget is very low (2000-3000$) and living in EU, best vendor might be Bluenile for avoiding 24% taxes.

I found this diamond:

https://www.bluenile.com/diamond-details/LD07899162

And setting would be:

https://www.bluenile.com/fi/build-your-own-ring/twist-halo-diamond-14k-white-gold-engagement-ring_54878?elem=img&track=product

Know for sure that she loves halo setting round shaped whitegold ring.

Please help me out.

Thank you,

Thank you for helping me out. I think you are right and linked very good option.

I really like this one you linked https://www.jamesallen.com/engagement-rings/halo/14k-white-gold-pave-halo-and-shank-diamond-engagement-ring-round-center-item-17445

One of those diamonds you linked had fluorescence strong and other ones medium to none. Is it risky to take that strong one or play safe with medium or none?

Correct me if I'm wrong, but blue nile just collects the taxes and duties upfront, but it's not actually exempt from taxes?

One of the settings linked by ac was bought by the following person and I think it looks really nice. Her finger size is 8.5 but the finger coverage is great!

If Blue Nile does that, then I think its better for me to buy from JA because they got better looking halo settings.

I read whole thread you posted and she got very nice ring with great price but I prefer that with halo setting ring band should have little diamonds covered it.

Fluorescence is almost never an issue, especially in diamonds with medium or none. It is very rare to have an issue even in stones with strong or very strong fl....when you go to order from JA, just ask them to confirm that the diamond is not hazy/milky or over blue.

Blue Nile does not have well fitting halos; I agree James Allen is better for a halo setting.

So it seems that blue nile collects VAT on your behalf
https://www.bluenile.com/fi/policies/terms-and-conditions#vat

That's a really nice setting you have chosen.
I would ask them to do claw prongs like this: https://ion.r2net.com/Images/HomePage/Wide/hp_v2_2.jpg
There should be no extra charge as they did not charge my friend

Some stones that you can consider. You could ask them if they have idealscopes

https://www.jamesallen.com/loose-diamonds/round-cut/0.60-carat-i-color-si1-clarity-excellent-cut-sku-2317630 (tiny speck on the table - but I think it should be eye clean)
