My sister''s girlfriend just got engaged three weeks ago and obviously went for size over quality. She is 19 years old and her wonderful BF bought her a 1.50 round diamond. The thing looks like it has been smashed with a hammer. Is that because of the cut or the clarity. It was not very sparkly.
Probably a combination of both. They both play a huge role in the overall performance of a diamond. Actually all the C''s play a central role in terms of value and beauty. However, some people really just want size, and want to say " I have a 2 carat, 3 carat, etc" , nevermind the fact that it looks poor and doesn''t sparkle. To each their own!!
