Yssie, dear...

Ack, sorry, just saw this Gypsy! :wavey:

I have to laugh, excellent delegating :cheeky: though I suppose fair's fair and we leave all the settings threads to you, and those can be... um, exceptional?...

Thank you Yssie. And I hope you don't mind. And I appreciate the good humor. I know what my strengths are. And what you just did, I can't do. At all.

I can link to it. But that's where my expertise ends. You are the numbers guru. And with MANY settings you exceed my level of detail and attention.

We all do what we can. If you ever need me, you can page me too.

Oh, haven taken advantage of your expertise with settings myself, I know when to pass the buck (and where to pass it) ::)

We definitely all contribute different things - RT is noticeably different when one of the regulars is absent for a while! I like numbers... There was a thread in hangout a few weeks ago on reigning in your inner pedant; my problem is that my inner pedant is unstoppable, and when you're helping someone new to all of this you've got to be able to step back and say "here's the big picture, here are the details you need to know right now, and I'll help you wade through figuring out the rest of it." None of the RT regulars have near your skill at doing that - at seeing things from the consumer's perspective and outlining that path through the forest... I admire the ability to see things from others' perspectives and genuinely empathise with that perspective. And, apparently, none of the RT regulars have near your patience either! So don't you go anywhere

Aww. That means so much to me, from someone I admire who also posts here tirelessly, like you.

Thank you Yssie.

I'm good at advocating and negotiating. I do it for a living and it translates well to the forums. That's my primary skill.

You've gotten very good at helping people with cuts, and with settings too. And you have a great eye for detail, in everything you do. No one else has that the way you do. I do get what you mean about "reigning it in" it's something I've had to learn to do too. It all comes with practice. Heck after 9 years of ticking people off left and right I actually got a compliment for TACT the other day. Never happened before. In real life or out of it. So... practice seems to pay off.

You don't go anywhere either please. I mean that. WE NEED YOU BABE.

Gosh. I'm literally grinning at my monitor! PS ceased to be anonymous to me a long time ago, and you are someone whose opinions I greatly respect and value - so, really, thank you for making my day!! ::)

::HUGS!:: (Ticking, tact, and all  )

We can start a mutual admiration society! *snicker*

((HUGS)) back. :wavey:

Ugh. Too late to edit.

ETA: LOL, still got a ways to go with that reigning in thing I guess!

That was funny.
