youtube to MP3?

Hey fellow PS'ers!
Does anyone have a method of downloading youtube videos ( music videos) as MP3's?

There used to be a site that did it, now I can't find it...
Anyone??

Here's another way that's IMO simple and perhaps easier to remember.

When watching the video go up to the address field at the top of the screen and just delete the last 3 letters (ube) of the word youtube and click enter.

Then at the botomclick on the large blue button "Format shift to MP3".

This puts an audio-only MP3 file of the video into your Download folder, if you have a Mac.
If you have a PC I'm sure it still works but I have no idea where it puts the MP3 file.

I did see that the quality is locked on "low" unless you subscribe....

the site I linked to above lets you download in high quality.
I compared a song downloaded using both- the site was 4.1MB
Manipulating the url, as you did, yeilded a 3.1MB file....
I don't know that you could really hear the difference on small speakers....

BTW…Kenny, kudos for finding that!!
I really looked hard and only found sites like the one I posted- which seem to have limited lifespans. I used a different site in the past which no longer functions….
I had to click on four or five to find the one I linked to .

Thanks but one of my teenage guitar students gets the credit.
Kids KNOW the Internet.

I didn't even know it was low res because I only used it for ear training my guitar students.
I import the mp3 into LogicPro.
Then it's very convenient for lessons, with looping and tempo change without a change of pitch, etc.
