For sure. DH agrees, assuming they are good kids.

DH's family had a lot of farmland, all of which went into DH's uncle's hands (as the only son). He promptly sold it and kept ALL profits, even though his nephews (including DH) wanted to actually continue to FARM the land and keep it in the family. It now holds condos, and the Uncle lives very well while the rest of the family is still very bitter about the situation. It doesn't seem fair that Uncle gets everything the WHOLE family worked towards just because he was the only son.

our kids will all get the same amount of money unless one of them somehow contributes to it.
