Your opinion on two similar settings

I like that the BN one has a platinum head, it doesn't look like the JA one does. Otherwise I like the looks of the JA one better, can they change the head for you?

EDIT: actually for the price difference I would go with BN, it's going to cost you more to change the head from JA and it's already $150 more. Its smartest to have the diamond set with the vendor that you purchased your diamond from though, another vendor will not insure your diamond while setting the stone (probably) and it's very difficult to find an insurance company that will, so it's something to keep in mind.

Are you buying a diamond from one of them? If so, look for your diamond first.

The BN one would allow a wedding band to sit more flush.

I would pick the diamond first then I would go with the setting from the vendor I wanted the diamond from.

Choose the diamond first, then get the setting from wherever you're getting the diamond. I think the vendors are comparable, except James Allen has diamond photos on their site which makes finding a good one a good bit easier. Also, I think either would sit 'flush' with a wedding band, since they are virtually identical settings (I have a similar setting from Whiteflash and my bands sit flush).

I might be in the minority here, but personally I like the timeless look of the James Allen. I feel like the two-tone breaks up the flow of the ring and stone.
