Hello all,

I am considering buying a diamond from Whiteflash. Would you suggest sending the diamond to jeweler to mount or the setting to Whiteflash to mount? Who would do the best job?

What is the most common way to send the mail? UPS insured?

Your suggestions/opinons are most appreciated! We just want to make sure the diamond is secure!

The place I bought the ring from (Solomn Bros) mounted my WF stone; is the company you are having set it a good co? I made sure my diamond was insured before it was mounted. I mailed it US Postal insured and it cost me $25 to do that.

The most secure way to ship is via USPS, Insured, Registered Mail. Your package will travel basically via armored car all the way. When it''s not in transit, it''s placed in a safe. Every postal employee handling your package has to sign off on it.

It''s not fast by any means. There is not rhyme or reason to the routes. All packages going in a general direction start out together. Then they get branched off to their different destinations, until your package reaches where it''s going. Could take a week or 2 for your package to be delivered.

Wf will mount your stone, in a setting not purchased from them for a small fee. WF has to determine the setting is suitable for the stone and visa versa, but WF is definitely capable of setting your stone.

I''d either have WF set it or... the setting manufacturer... depending on which company it is... they will set your stone for you if you want them too.

God all I know is that I love that legato sleek, if only had an extra 400 cash...ugh, makes me want to cry

(sorry, i know its off topic, but this inspired me to check it out, and it was the first time i saw it.)

(i believe) Mark Schneider custom makes their rings so it would be best to have them set it....i ordered my setting directly from Mark Schneider (i live in long beach ca where his factory/store is located)..because they make a plastic molding of the ring and you can make adjustments...i bought the inspire but i did split prongs http://www.markschneiderdesign.com/bridal-group3-4.html

The jeweler from which I''m buying the setting is listed on the Mark Schneider website as a jeweler. Does this mean they''re specially trained to mount them?

From my understanding you ship the diamond to Mark Schnieder he builds the ring and sets the diamond in the ring then ships it directly to you. You''re probably better off asking the jeweler that you are buying the setting from exactly how it''s done, because as i said before i bought my setting directly from Mark Schneider.

Thanks for the info everyone! I''ll chat with the jeweler. I will feel better if the Mark Schneider jeweler (or if she sends it to Mark Schneider directly, or whatever) mounts my ring than Whiteflash, although I hear wonderful things about WF. If the Schneider mounts have anything tricky or unique about them, maybe the jeweler is trained to notice something specific that WF may not be?

I''ll definitely post photos when I receive my ring!
