I may take the plunge and buy the radiant cut diamond I''ve been searching for on-line from a reputable, well known dealer. I have been looking for a square radiant and it''s been difficult to find. This one is very close to all the specs that I''ve been looking for. My only desire would be for the symmetry to be Excellent vs. Very good, but I can live with that. I do have a concern that the GIA report says "additional clouds are not shown" in the comments section. Any comments on this? I value everyone''s opinions on here. Of course, they have a 30 day money back guarantee if it doesn''t sparkle once it arrives. I guess there is no way for me to know if has maximum light return before I buy it. Any feedback is appreciated. :)

Also, I''m thinking of just putting it in a 4-prong solitaire setting to keep it simple and keep the price down. Any thoughts on this with a radiant?

Is it with Blue Nile? Radiants really need to be seen to be judged, the depth and table really isn't enough info. Some of the other vendors supply ASET, Idealscope images and photographs of the diamonds which helps you to make an informed choice. If it is with a vendor like BN who does not supply images, then all you can do is order it and hope it is the right one, and return it if not.

This link explains about ASET/ IS images and their use.

" Clouds not shown/ additional clouds not shown" in the comments section of the report is not an issue - no worries.

I''ve heard people talk about IdealScope. Should I order one to check the diamond when it arrives or is there a place I can go to get it checked by an Idealscope?

An ASET scope is better for fancy shapes than IS, you can order one here.

The link above explains how to use them and interpret the results. Once you have an ASET scope then it is with you for any other diamond purchases....
