Mine is no doubt, The Cushion Brilliant.

RB is my first love, followed by the asscher my current fav.

asscher in diamonds.
Others in gemstones.

Any step-cut diamond (emerald cut, Asscher cut, etc.)!!!

princess and square radiants!!

RB, especially those with extra faceting, emeralds, pears.

Cabochon above all (the higher ''sugar loaf'' or engraved versions come first), table and step cuts - mostly baguette and the more surprising non-rectangular ones if I have the choice....

As a rule of thumb, the simplest cut that shows off the material does it best in any case, and I surely do like to be surprised with something unusual.

Diamonds are no different case: I like the table cuts (the jewelry ''context'' they come in helps) and then baguettes. A ring with a four carat baguette cut was the piece I most liked out of all other modern rings I have tried on.

Then at a substantial distance the old style cushions with their composition of larger facets on the sides and busier crowns and corners. It is good news to see the cut done on spinels... but there aren''t too many.

Asscher, RB, and cushions are my fav

I love the cushion (modern ones)... I actually LOVE LOVE LOVE asschers/square emeralds. I don''t talk about them much here or consider them b/c I would want a REALLY big one in a really high color and clarity. So that''s SOOO not happening ... But they are SO elegant.
