I think many today lack sympathy for these men. feeling men deserve what they're getting.
They've behaved horribly for millennia, and women have suffered for it, and still suffer today around the world.

I suspect many women, and even some men, feel apathy if not glee to read how men are suffering today.

My concern is these angry young men rise up, organize, and act out to harm women and the status quo.
Aren't there already growing Internet groups cultivating toxic masculinity?

It's almost like yet-another ominous war is looming.

I found the survey to be useless without data and analysis of what factors are identified as contributing to the feeling of loneliness --such as anti-social personalities/behavior; jobs with long hours/shifts outside the 8-5 M-F routine; rural vs city/suburb residency etc.

I cannot disagree with this. It does feel like something is coming be it retribution or something else. It feels like something is about to blow. The world is very messed up and I am glad I am closer to the end of my life than the beginning. Everything is twisted and manipulated and I feel something ominous coming. And of course as with all things time will tell

Darwin called it “survival of the fittest,” didn’t he?

^Those slowest to adapt die first.

Societal and cultural change is more difficult for some than others. Increase in the population of brown people, increase in independent self-sufficient women, slow steady erosion of white patriarchal pillars of power. No wonder they're depressed.

Yup.

But if no men survive, in time no women will either.
Solution: Freeze an eternal-supply of sperm.

Then ... good riddance to us evil men forever.:dance::dance:

Male humans dominated with the capacity for violence up until the dark ages were over. Female humans adapted by developing intuition and communication while males failed to catch up. Now they’re pissed because they’re flopping even though they set up the system for themselves to win. What a shitty feeling that must be.

The universe doesn’t need more humans. I’m hopeful that our species doesn’t perpetuate, tbh. All we’ve done is create chaos and f things up.

It's all so weird anymore. We used to go out to bars after work, meet people at work or through friends. Now people work from home, so that whole social dynamic and support is gone. We also have confusing expectations for how men should behave - can't be seen as gay or emotional or they're ostracized. It's got to suck to be young, from a social standpoint.

I'd bet a dollar that we'd develop parthenogenesis.

Wouldn't surprise me.
But which gender would eliminate the other.......... Opps ... sorry ... otherS.

Which raises a question.
Does parthenogenesis include the dangers of inbreeding?

Spain's Royal House of Hapsburg inbred so much for so long that their last monarch Charles II King of Spain was sterile, could barely function physically or mentally, and had a terribly deformed face and could barely chew food.

Hey, at least Spain's royal family got to keep all their power and riches.:doh::doh:
Priorities, ya know.

So again, is parthenogenesis inbreeding?

Hey Kenny ... :wall::wall::wall: ... Google is your friend ...
Turns out the answer to, "Is parthenogenesis inbreeding?" is not quite so simple.

So again, is parthenogenesis inbreeding?

Asexual reproduction; unfertilized egg produces offspring. It's a virgin birth:mrgreen2:

Yes, that happens in many animals.
But in humans would there be a problem with inbreeding, especially after many generations with no new blood genes?
I thought genetic diversity was important for healthy offspring.

I'm not sure one can breed with oneself since breeding involves the mating of two animals one of which has the eggs and the other the sperm. If one could breed with oneself it wouldn't be the Immaculate conception of parthenogenesis.

My rudimentary acquaintance with parthenogenesis indicates there is room for genetic variation but I have no idea what the percentage of good variation (survival of the species) vs bad variation (extinction due to genetic degradation) would be.

I’m hopeful that our species doesn’t perpetuate, tbh. All we’ve done is create chaos and f things up.

...and create spectacular art and architecture and literature and all other forms of culture and a phenomenal understanding of the universe and even of life itself. Much of what humanity has achieved is simply staggering -- and, at every step, could not have been envisioned even a generation or two prior. Yeah, and a lot of bad violent sh#t, too. We won't destroy the world with our arrogance and violence but the world will probably outlast us by a very wide margin.

Oh don't worry about that. There are like 195 other countries in the world where "the male loneliness epidemic" doesn't exist as a concept.

You mean, there are other countries besides America?
Gosh! Who knew?

But don't worry your pretty little head.
America's becoming great again, so we'll just annex all those insignificant countries.
245 US states sounds about right.

Check out the new coins and bills we're designing now, "One planet, under God".
So don't fret, it's destiny.
Manifest Destiny.

I trust the penguin inhabited island will be among the new recruits. It would be mean to abandon them, they're too cute! :P2

Shouldn't there be a TACO somewhere on those coins and bills?
