Because he finally asked!
Sorry if this is long..................
On Monday C asked me if I would take him to the eye Dr. for a routine exam. Well I really didn’t understand why I had to drive him there when I always take myself, but I thought whatever and said I would. As we are driving there I am bitching at him about how he is going to be late b/c at a new dr. you have to get there early to fill out paper work and I kept asking him if he had his insurance card. When we pulled up to a strip mall I really started bitching at him that there was no Dr. offices around and that he was really going to be late and asking what are we doing here, I need to get back to work. He just told me to get out of the car and walked me up to a jewelry store and said there was no eye appt and we were here to pick out my ring! He told me he had to trick me b/c I’m way too nosey and ask too many questions.
I didn''t end up finding a ring in the store but I found one I liked in a catalog but since it was Yom Kippur the jewler wasn''t open so we had to wait until tuesday to see about details. On our way back to my office he told me that he really wanted me to find a ring in the store so he could ask me on Thursday (our 5 year anniversery) with the ring.
When we got back to my office he asked me. I didn’t really believe him so I had to ask if it was for real and he said yes this is for real. Then of course I said yes!
It wasn''t too romantic or anything but Monday night when I got home from work we laughed for a good hour about how he had tricked me and the amount of bitching I did about being late to the eye dr.
The jewler called me tuesday and said they found the perfect ring for me and I could come look at it today! I super excited I get to go on my lunch break to look at the ring to see if it''s what I want. As far as I know it is a 1.07 ct brilliant cut A. Jaffe halo with diamonds on the band!
