I was inputting some stats and I noticed that the table percentage would not let me input anything other than whole numbers.

Is this expected.

For example, I tried 58.9 for table percentage, and it defaulted to 58 when the results were reported.

Selected: 62.1% depth, 58% table, 35.6° crown angle, 40.2° pavilion angle

My overall score was 1.4.

Then I tried 59 because I felt it was closer to the 58.9 than the 58 and my score only went up to 1.5.

Selected: 62.1% depth, 59% table, 35.6° crown angle, 40.2° pavilion angle

My overall score was 1.5.

Then I tried 59.9 and it changed to 1.8.

Selected: 62.1% depth, 59% table, 35.6° crown angle, 40.2° pavilion angle

My overall score was 1.8 even though it reported it used 59% and the previous attempt scored 1.5 with 59%

Which tells me that it is being used, just not reported in the results completely.

Either way I suppose it is a good buy and I think this is the stone for me considering everything.

Let me know if this is expected and why.

Sounds ok to me. Not too many try such variations out, but why not...

Case in point for less hair splitting with this instrument. I really doubt that diamonds can be cut and measured with 0.01 precission of anything, table % included.

Your conclusion would be mine any day

You are right - the table rounding factor is not working correctly.
And Ana is right that table is the least critical factor - 0.1 is a common variation for 1.0% plus or minus on table sizes below 60% - so rounding is not an issue.
Also table sizes are often rounded to whole #'s by labs because it is a difficult / least accurate measurement from a Sarin scan and all the labs use Sarin.

Thanks.
I figured as much and bought the stone.
I hope it looks as amazing in person as it did in the report and the numbers.

It is a rare proportion combination - but as a result of this weekend I can say we will all be seeing more of them really soon.
Some will have AGS 0, others GIA 1 or whatever they decide to call it, and others will have OctoNus top grades

and there will be Russian stones with 1.00 Charm grades.

The diansaurs will start choking!

Sounds interesting.
I learned a lot here and finally after about 6 months felt I was educated enough to weed out questionable stone and vendors.

I can't wait to see it, it arrives on Friday and I propose next weekend in Mexico.

We'll be making "Once Upon A Time In Mexico 2"
