Just curious - I saw a diamond the other day in the store I work in that had a gold-ish/yellowish inclusion near the girdle. The stone was graded SI3, and that was the only inclusion that was obvious with a loupe. Does anyone know what that kind of inclusion made of? In my search, the term "olivine" came up, but I wasn't sure what it was exactly...

Could be a flash effect from a fracture filling.

It's not enhanced. Any other ideas?

Hard to say. Diamond crystals do form inside diamonds and can be made of many different things. However, SI3 is not a recognized clarity grade by the top labs so I can only assume you saw this stone in a mall type store. While it may be interesting, it's certainly not desirable by most.

Did you by chance get any pictures of the stone?
