Hello all,

I'm looking at a .920 Fancy Intense Cushion cut diamond ring. Below are the statistics. Can anybody point out any flaws? I've seen it in person and it's gorgeous. I was looking at the girdle, and cut proportions. Do those look ok?

Cut modified brilliant 5.79 X 5.33 X 3.40
Carat: .920 Carat
Color: Fancy Intense Yellow
Color distribution: Even
Fluorescence: Faint
Polish: Excellent
Symmetry: Very Good
Clarity: VVS1
Enhancements: none

Cut proportions:
Total depth percentage: 63.8%
Table size percentage: 62%
Girdle Thickness: medium to slightly thick
Girdle finish: faceted
culet: none

thanks,
Steve

Fancy colored diamonds are impossible to judge based on stats from a GIA report.
Speaking of which- let's make sure this diamond was graded by GIA.
You've written the weight as .920
GIA would call that .92

So just to be clear, it's graded by GIA, yes?

Graded by Tiffany & Co

I have the printed report from their database. They mail the official one 2 weeks after purchased.

to my knowledge they don't offer GIA certs anymore. Is that correct?

Tiffany grading will do fine.

I'm not sure on that. Maybe they still do on larger diamonds.

Based on what you've written, if you like the way the diamond looks, I'd say you're safe
