Here's a summer project that turned out great.
The setting is a Danhov ME30 in platinum and diamonds bought used from JBEG. Our local jeweler rebuilt the prongs and faux partial bezel that were beyond saving.
The chrysoberyl is a soft yellow that almost looks like liquid gold. In some lights it glows orangey and in others yellow with just a hint of green. It has tons of fire and completely holds it's own with the diamonds, even in direct sunlight. We bought it from Jeff of Earth's Treasury: 6.70 x 4.45 mm, 1.71 cts., Brazil, "precision cut in the U.S."
We love it!
