So, we''re not too much further on stuff but FI just told me he wants to hire an acquaintance of his as our photographer. I had completely forgotten about this guy, but he''s a professional photographer (not weddings, but other types of events and exclusively "people" photography) and we actually have one of his pieces. He''s VERY good. And since it''s still 18 months away, I''m pretty sure we can lock him down for the date. SO RELIEVED to not have to think about this one thing, since I was starting to stress about finding a decent, affordable photographer. Not sure what he''s going to charge, but since FI really wants him to shoot the wedding, it doesn''t actually matter. Yay!
We''ve also gotten a big start on our guest list, finally. I think it''s going to be a little bigger than our original ~125, but we already know of several people who will almost certainly have to decline (but we still need to make the gesture of inviting them). Now I just need to start sinking my teeth into the venues...
I shouldn''t be stressing this far in advance, but somehow wedding stress feels better than school stress right now
