Hi everyone,
I finally decided to talk abit about myself but PS told me "You do not have permission to perform this action". OMG! what an 'auspicious' start to this whole thing.
Anyway, as some of you know, I am a fellow diamond (crazy) consumer but I am from Singapore. I am turning 26 this year and will be married for 1 yr and 6 mths in April. We were together for four years and had a long distance relationship for 2 of the 4 years before we decided to make it legally binding. He bought me a 0.25ct (no cert) sorta promise/sorta e-ring after our 2nd year together but I was of course not satisfied
(it's all my mum's fault!!!) and so have finally managed to finagle a bigger upgrade outta him after this time together.
In Singapore, the diamond industry is like a new born baby for the middle class consumers, pretty much like what I have gathered about the American B&M's too and because I have been into diamonds since I was 16 (again, my mum's fault) I was very unsatisfied and unwilling to spend our money here on the upgrade, which is what lead me to my current 'love affair' with PS
My husband is of course amused at my passion for diamonds but he knows that I am only interested literally in getting the best bang for our buck and since I don't demand for other luxury items, a fancy house or car, he is more willing to indulge me in this 1 extreme passion
In the real world, I currently teach 3 year olds at a local childcare in the mornings and swimming to young children on certain afternons. I love kids, which can be said to be my other passion. If not for my love for children, I would never put up with the early childhood industry in Singapore. Before this, I worked two years in various centers to gain experience and see if I liked the job and recently did a 2 years part time diploma in Early childhood teaching, which ended last Nov. During those 2 years, I also worked three months as a shadow teacher specifically for an autistic 5 year old boy to help him get settled into his new school routine, which turned out to be a disaster.
I am so 'lowly educated' because I have always hated studying and almost everything to do with schooling except English. I am an extreme under-achiever. I always refuse to study in school and recently found out from my mum that I even told my primary (elementary) school teacher that if "I dont study I can get 70%, so why should I waste so much effort just to get 90%". As you can see, I WAS a handful growing up
. I am going to get a degree but I am just bidding my time to see how long I can get away without starting one, I want to make my mother proud after all her years of hard work, sweat, screaming and love.
Anyway, I tend to talk alot, was always getting "She talks alot, chatterbox, talkative" comments in my primary school report book and so I shall stop here for now.
