Hello everyone,

Today, my bf and I bought my engagement ring from the lovely folks at bridalrings.com in downtown LA in person this afternoon. We've been lurking on here for a while, trying to educate ourselves as much as possible so that we didn't get duped while shopping. We think we made a good choice in diamond, but just wanted to post its stats here to see if you all think we got an okay deal and didn't horribly overpay. Unfortunately it came with an EGL report, which I know is not the most reliable, but hopefully it's okay.

Carat Weight: 0.95
Table: 55%
Depth: 64.6%
Crown height: 16%
Pavillion: 43%
Girdle: medium faceted
Culet: none
Flour: none
Polish: good to very good
Symmetry: good to very good
Graining: nil
Clarity: SI2
Color: G
Shape: Round brilliant
Measurements: 6.14-6.09 x 3.95mm

Price: $3795

We ran it through the HCA and it got a 2.1 and it fell within the GIA Excellent and was borderline AGS Ideal. It had one noticeable (fair size under the 10x lens, but we couldn't really see it with the naked eye) inclusion on the edge. It performed well under various light conditions too. We loved it, which is what counts, but reassurance would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Well N you did some study, asked good quaestions I am sure, and made a choice. You know the stone is eye clean, and SI2 is a good grade to go for from that point of view.
G is also a safe colour - if it is miss graded and was say I, then you would surely know it - and G or H are both very white.

So I wish you a happy life and enjoy your diamond.
