YAY! Miracles is Coming to Town Chicagoland PSers! GTG, Anyone?

Hey, Chicagoland PSers!

We have a big reason to celebrate--Miracles is coming to town Valentine''s Day weekend! SO, that sounds like the perfect time to have a GTG. Anyone else in?

And if you are in, what should we do for our "Yay, Miracles is Coming to Town! Chicagoland GTG"?

I think lunch should be a prerequisite for sure! I''m so excited to know that some of my favorite PS''ers know Chicago. I would be a clueless wonder like the last time I was there. The last time I was there it was on a business trip that coincided with Mother''s Day, so I flew my daughter out and we stayed the weekend. We were amazed at all the spring tulips and beautiful flowers lining the streets. Not to mention a hole in the wall pizza place that served a memory that still makes my mouth water.

I know there won''t be flowers in early Feb, but PS''ers are far more beautiful!!

I will be garme for whatever you gals want to do.

Hmm I don't think we can try things on - sad! We could stop by a jewelry store and do some bling browsing after the exhibit though

And it'll be COLD so we may want to do a hot chocolate stop too

I don''t remember the name of the pizza place. I just remember what street it was on as I excited the hotel and strode toward Michigan Avenue. We asked a few random people where would could get the best pizza and those that were locals pointed to a place a block ahead. It was beteen the metro track and Michigan Ave. I know I can find it again. I''m good that way.

But I would rather trust the selection of another nice restaurant to you locals. The only other thing I remember about Chicago was that the people were so much nicer than I had expected.

Miracles, I have a feeling I know which one you''re talking about it - do you remember if yo saw the Affinia Hotel nearby? I know when I was walking around there there was this super packed pizza place (like a line outside) though I don''t remember the name.

What date do you prefer?

I am flying bacj hone on Sunday the 14th at noonish, so the best day for me is Friday the 12th, or Saturday the 13th.

I don''t remember the name of the hole in the wall, but I can walk my way too it. That is why I am staying at the same hotel. I can remember the route I took and the look of the place...we sat outdoors on aluminum chairs ( so faaaaan-cy). I hope it''s still in business...not that I need the calories or anything.

I am so IN for going to the Diamond thingee even if we can''t try stuff on...we can use our imagination.

The diamond exhibit at the FM sounds fantastic. Actually, I don''t care what the activities are for the day, I just love GTG''s! Meeting you gals will be so much fun! Hopefully some of the other Chicago PSr''s will be able to come, too. Miracles, *YAY!* for coming to Chicago and providing a great reason to get together!

Really??? Dontcha love my typos? I am blaming it on the food coma that I am in after making LaurenThePartier''s Engagement Chicken. (Okay, and the champagne) Seriously, that girl has some kickbutt recipes. I made the spinach too. Did you know that organic chicken hardly has any breast meat? All the meat is in it''s bootie!! Just like me!

Those plumped up chickens have had breast enhancements!

btw....Do not watch Food Inc. after a good meal.

Btw...did someone mention PIZZA? Because I am somewhat more passionate about pizza than I care to admit sometimes. Whenever "pie" gets passed around on PS my first thought is a delicious crust filled with pizza sauce, cheese, and pretty much any meatless topping. Omg I''m drooling over the thought of it right now.

Miracles--off to see if I can come up with pizza joints in the above-described area. We simply must nail this down.

Okay, now alla y''all have made me curious as to what place it was. I will have to do some research online tomorrow to try to figure out what little hole in the wall it was. I have to map the hotel and the street. I love a good mystery too!! You''d think we would remember the name. We were so into the pizza and then excited to get out to Michigan Avenue and shop that we didn''t think of the name of the place. Although I must say, we went to a swanky place for dinner and the pizza was sooooo sub par to the hole in the wall that we should have gone back just to find out if they would FedEx to California.

Oh so jealous. I just moved from chicago area to dallas this summer and as a newer PS member have never been to a PS GTG. There better be one in Dallas soon or I may have to come back to chicago for this one haha! Have fun.

You can''t go wrong with pretty much any pizza place in Chicago. Good pizza is probably the number one thing I miss about home besides my friends and family. Feel free to send me a slice!

Yayayaya, Saturday lunch and museum sounds divine!! I''m sooooooo excited about the GTG.

I went through my bank statements and was able to determine that I last in Chicago in May 2005. I used Google Maps with street view and still couldn''t find the hole in the wall pizza joint. I know that we could see the metro line from the chairs out front. Maybe it wasn''t even a pizza joint, but served pizza. I dunno. I looked up the places named above and I can rule them out.

Oh well, if I find it on Friday, I''ll be sure to write the name down this time. Maybe it doesn''t exist anymore.
