Y-Z radiant as pendant - need help

Dear PSers

I need your help. I have this Y-Z (according to GIA) "cut cornered square modified brilliant" in my box. It's VS1 and very light yellow. It's 2.56 ct but faces up quite a bit smaller with 7.30x7.32x5.08. I could get it for a reasonable price but now it sits there... It's a pretty stone and it sparkles a lot and the light yellow is very pretty but I don't want it to become another ring. I had the idea of a pendant (I don't really have one yet) and so I thought this stone might work for it. I like especially that it is square.

Would you think it looked nice in a white gold bezel (I'm a bezel fan). I'm not so much into yellow gold since it does not look too well on me. I was thinking rose gold but this is kind of "reserved" for my antique jewelry.

Do you have any ideas? Also different from what I just said...

Set it in diamond orientation?
it needs white diamonds beside it so the color contrast is there.
White bezel is fine as it will help with contrast.

I don't know if this helps but here is my bezel pendant - it's a fancy light yellow supposedly (no GIA report) and it's in unplated white gold with a yg accent.

It would make a great pendant. I think a silver colored bezel with texture would look classic and give some contrast. Kind of like an ornate painting frame. Something like this? (A setting I want to copy some day…)




You might get even more contrast if you do a thin inner bezel in yellow gold. Adding colorless diamonds might give you contrast, too, but it would be a different look than a bezel solitaire.

I finally come back with an update! I have decided to go simple and to go with yellow gold. For some time now I only wore rose gold but am slowly coming back to really liking yellow gold. So that is what it turned out to be.
