Alpha-hydrox - This is the only thing that I have used that I actually noticed a difference (and its cheap too)!

I am a loyal fan of the Alpha Hydrox brand too - I swear by their Retinol ResQ and use it every other night (thin layer applied to clean face, then I wait a few minutes and add a thin layer of Fresh brand Soy Face Cream). I've tried the RoC Retin-A Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream but for me it is too heavy.

Plus, for good skin (as well as good health) - daily use of sunscreen with SPF30 at least and wearing sunglasses when outdoors, regularly getting a good night's sleep, daily physical exertion, keeping well-hydrated, eating lots of fruits and vegetables. And, try to avoid squinting or frowning!

Another Alpha Hydrox fan here! I started using it last year and ordered directly through their website when they had a "buy 2 get 1 free" sale and free shipping.

I used to use Avon Anew when it first came out many many years ago and loved it, but then they discontinued this particular cream. I still use an Avon Anew moisturizer in the morning and the Alpha Hydrox night cream over RoC Retin-A Correxion Deep Wrinkle Night Cream . I have no wrinkles, but the skin around the lower face is starting to sag (I am 55) just a little bit. I primarily use the retinoids to get rid of some of the dark spots I have from the days of being a sun worshipper in my teens - you know when we all used baby oil or cocoa butter to get a really dark tan and when sunscreens did not exist.

I have always eaten lots of fresh fruits and vegetables, do not drink soda - only filtered water, stay out of the sun since I was 20. Oh, and getting lots of cardio exercise and sleep is a big plus as well.

Now for the body, the Alpha Hydrox Lotion is phenomenal. I use it on my arms. legs, hands, neck and after several months have noticed a huge difference in texture. Smoother skin and almost all dark spots have faded.

Hey, question - do you guys know if the over-the-counter creams like Roc, etc. are safe when you're breast-feeding? I'm erring to the side that better safe than sorry, but none of my Googling has brought up anything concrete ....

Retinoids (oral ones) can definitely cause problems during pregnancy. It seems there's no evidence that topical (creams) versions cause problems. But, some doctors say to avoid them while breastfeeding (http://www.babycenter.com/0_safe-skin-care-during-pregnancy_1490031.bc#articlesection1)

Oh, good to know - thanks for the link, Lotus!

I have a super inexpensive regimen. Its callled Johnson's baby oil. I use it to remove eye makeup, even waterproof mascara. I think it contributed to my wrinkle free eye area. My mom-in-law used baby oil as moisturzer her whole life and literally had smooth baby soft skin into her 60's.

sure it is genetic and also some does w/taking care of yourself and staying out of the sun.

Bingo! Sun is EVIL for skin. I am in my 40's and have very few wrinkles because I get very little sun.

Avoid the sun and if you do go out, hats and sunscreen.

I jut turned 60 {gasp, faint :( }, and believe me when I tell you I an consistently told I look 45-50. I have been using Isomers for 16 years now and wouldn't face the day without their R Pur line which is soy based. I have no wrinkles or crows feet and am just now seeing some sagging. I would seriously go without food to have this product.

I also have used sunscreen for the last 30 years, but I grew up on a lake and spent the first 19 years of my life baking. My skin is is great shape, however, and I credit Isomers with that, because my mother, as I recall, had crappy skin and my sisters used to have to visit the derm regularly.
