Planning to upgrade an ACA stone for something larger. Currently have an H SI1 .818 round ACA, 6mm, AGS ideal, 1.1 HCA.
I don't want anything snatched up, so here are stats on the potential replacement.
GIA ex/ex/ex
H VS2 6.75mm
Depth 61.9%
Table 56%
Crown 34 degrees
Pavilion 40.8 degrees
HCA 1.0
No, I don't have an IS, I do have an image of the diamond, inclusions look fine, arrows are present. There's a substantial cost savings over a branded stone of similar dimensions and carat weight, and maybe there's some anecdotal possibility that a GIA H may be a bit higher in color than an AGS H. Branded stone would likely be .25 mm smaller than the non-branded in deference to budget.
Would you do it?
