Would you support a 'probationary' period before new PS members can post?

I voted "other" because "No" was not a choice.

IMO nothing is broken here regarding this topic.
PS already has it covered - Ignore it or report it.

Yup, this all the way. We do not need to police others or be a net nanny. As @kenny wisely writes PS has it under control. And when PS members see spam we report it.

OK. I didn't need to post. I agree with kenny and missy and Rhea. Why should there be a probationary period?
 
There should be no probationary period. Everyone should feel welcome and be able to ask their questions or for help, especially those in a time crunch.
