Assuming you didn''t have either, which would you rather have? Diamond studs of a total weight of 1 ct. or a diamond tennis bracelet w/a total of 2 ct.
Earrings!!! I cannot stand any jewerly on my wrists and never even wear a watch.
It may seem like more fun to have a bracelet since you can see the diamonds, BUT, when you wear earrings, they make your entire face light up and that, I think, makes them a better choice.
Earrings are a much better choice because you can leave them on always. You can wear them for casual or dressy. They are very visible and attractive in the ears (especially as you wear earrings anyway).
Whereas you dsont always want or need a bracelet. Its more optional.
I have always had bad luck with my tennis bracelets breaking, links wearing away, or somehow getting unattached. I have actually lost 2 & my third one is being totally reset as we speak because the links kept breaking.
My h. says that you are not meant to wear most tennis bracelts every day as they are too delicate and prone to wear & tear???? But, if thats true...when are you meant to wear it????
I had that same question and I went for the WF tennis bracelet which I love love love. BUT I can''t wear it everyday. It gets caught on my purse handle, dragged across my desk, and is a chore to get on and off. I wear it when I am dressed up, not because it is too blingy but because I am not doing everyday tasks.
Earrings! That's what I chose for my first diamond item and I never regretted! I've never taken them off since the day I got them, except for regular cleaning. They go with absolutely everything!
ETA: 1 ctw is a really good size, so earrings get double votes! Mine r only 0.25ctw and I love them to bits... I don't like the way tennis bracelets look when the metal gets all scratched up. Earrings r almost maintenance free, except for cleaning!
Reasons:
1. as the others have already mentioned, you get a lot more mileage from such classic earrings
2. larger stones, thus the beauty is more noticeable
3. bracelets may snag your clothes, scratch your baby, etc.
4. most importantly, I would suffer from diamond shrinkage syndrome more quickly with a tennis bracelet of 2ctw than a generous sized pair of earring studs
Earrings first more versatile and literally can be worn day and night. Ditto to what another poster said they light up the face and make it bright. They are a total staple of a jewelry wardrobe.
Bracelet second very pretty and I too want one but after earrings.
For me, I am not able to wear earrings, as I am highly allergic to any sort of metal (even plastic), so I would have to say bracelet. However, if I could wear earrings, I would go with studs and then purchase a bracelet down the road.
Bracelet! I have both but if I had neither, I like the idea of being able to look down and see the my diamonds. But I think I would pick 5 40 pointers on a bangle as opposed to a tennis with smaller stones.
Earrings! I really want some right now. I have my e-ring and a pretty .25 ct pendant, but I feel like something''s missing without some diamonds studs. If only I didn''t constantly lose earrings!
