A K colour in an antique cut?? LOVE it! To me this is what I call an " antique white" and a little colour only adds to the charm of these old stones. I would suggest getting an independant appraisal on the diamond and making the sale final on it checking out to your satisfaction, sometimes these old stones can have small chips or nicks around the girdle, so an appraisal for a purchase of this magnitude is always a good idea. Also check it out in various lighting situations, sometimes the warmth in these colour grades ( and especially in a mammoth stone like this one) can be more apparent in some lights than others.Date: 10/10/2009 2:14:26 PM

I found a beautiful antique cushion stone. It is 5 carats, cut around the turn of the century, K, VS1. I don't really see color when I look at it. What do you guys think about a K on an antique cut?

I LOVE the Boston Jeff setting! Thanks. I am going to take that picture to my jeweler. I would love to do that prong setting with some diamonds around the band. Thanks so much for the great idea!
