Would you buy an amazing band if ONE of the diamonds (out of 7) was lab grown? Or would you prefer it be replaced with earth mined but the cost would go up about 1k? I have a glorious band that I'm going to list since we're trying to save up for a house. One of the stones is Lab and I'm wondering if I should suck it up and replace with Earth Grown. Thanks for your input!

Lab diamonds are diamonds. Done! I would disclose it, but it wouldn't stop me from buying it.

Interesting! How did it come about that only one stone is lab? It probably wouldn’t bother me if they were well matched. I’d list it as-is and explain. If you’re planning to sell I wouldn’t spend more $ changing out the stone.

Lab diamond is still diamond, so I personally wouldn't be deterred at all by one stone being lab. As long as you fully disclose the info, then potential buyers can decide if they care to replace it or not

I was making the band using stones I had from various rings. I needed one more stone to complete it and I feel as many of you above so I spent $150 on a Lab stone vs. 1K for the Earth Mined version to complete the ring.

Thank you all for your input! I will send to consignment to list as is with the option to have the stone swapped out.

I think it depends on a person you are selling it to. to each their own.

personally I don't buy man-made stones... or even treated ones for that matter
so that would influence my decision for sure

Maybe also have them specify which stone is the lab - I know you said it's a band, some folks who wouldn't typically choose a lab stone might not have strong feelings about say one stone on the end being a lab. Def agree with not paying out of pocket to replace unless it doesn't sell as-is

I def will thank you, the other two that are rbs are AGS000 with reports so it's obvious which is not just based on that.
