I''m thinking about buying this stone for a WF custom Tiffany Etoile-type pave ring. Does it look like a good choice? The band will be about 6mm wide with the pave extending about 1/2 way around the band.

You can't go wrong with A cut Above!!! I would talk to WF to see if it would look nice in that setting; I don't see why it wouldn't but they can tell you best. I have seen that setting posted before and it is very beautiful

It looks lovely going by the info given! Is a D colour your preference? I just wanted to mention you could drop the colour a bit if you wished, but some love a D!

Well, I was thinking of getting the actual Tiffany version of the ring, and the price for a lower color diamond (I think it was an F or a G), .7 carats, in the setting, would have been over $2,000 more than the Whiteflash larger, higher color H&A version(both VS1 clarity). As long as I''m saving a substantial amount of money, and I prefer the whiter color, I thought, why not? Also, in most of the diamonds I''ve seen in B&M stores, the whiter diamonds have been more appealing to me...would you be concerned that you were wasting a lot of money for the D over an F?

Personally, I don''t think I would spend the $$ to go higher than an F, and I would totally even so to a G and still feel confident that it would not show a kint of color. I don''t think you will *see* the difference between and D and an F, but you will *know* it and that may be worth the money to you. For me, knowing I saved $$ is more important

But to each their own! It is a personal thing! There is no wrong choice with color!

Lorelei,

They do have a .82 F VVS2 ACA for $4,870, with the following specs:

Report: AGS
. Shape: A Cut Above H&A
. Carat: 0.820
. Depth %: 61.6
. Table %: 55.9
. Crown Angle: 34.3
. Crown %: 15.1
. Star : 54
. Pavilion Angle: 40.8
. Pavilion %: 43.1
. Lower Girdle %: 78
. Girdle: Thin to Medium Faceted
. Measurements: 6.00-6.03X3.70
. Light Performance: 0
. Polish: Ideal
. Symmetry: Ideal
. Culet: Pointed
. Fluorescence: Negligible

Does the better clarity and the negligible difference in color and size, along with the cheaper price, make this diamond much more attractive?

Thanks!

Do they have one that is an F VS1 or VS2? That might be the ideal combo for you that combines good price, totally white, and totally eye clean.
