I have a 2.5 carat RB solitaire engagement ring, to which I'd like to add an eternity wedding band. It's an EGL USA rated "I" stone, but in reality, it's closer to a GIA J.
I'm not sure how large or small the stones for an eternity band would be, but the eternity band I'd want would be 1 - 1.5 total carats. I wouldn't want the band to make my diamond look too yellow by comparison, so I was thinking I-J (or even K? not sure) color stones in the eternity would be ideal. I know that smaller stones will always appear more white than larger stones, but I figured I would minimize the color difference as much as possible.
Would it be difficult for a jeweler to source I-J color stones for a 1 - 1.5 ctw eternity band? It seems like most of the ones you can buy ready-made have F-G color stones.
Thank you!
