Would appreciate feedback on this diamond

Do any of you have suggestions on where I can find OEC stones?

I agree. WF has already told me they don’t want it, and other offers are also much less than half what we paid, so I don’t think I’ll get anywhere there. I think I should recut and use elsewhere like a pendant. I definitely don’t want to modify my setting to hold a smaller stone.

In that case, putting it into a pendant, I have to ask: why recut? Is the performance THAT poor to your eyes that - even in a pendant - it would bother you?

This is just me, but I would only consider/suggest recut IF it were going back into an e-ring or something that I would see regularly where the cut would bug me. In most cases, I wouldn’t see the diamond in a pendant to be bothered by its performance. That said, your/others may be more particular about that. I just wouldn’t personally add the expense and risk of a recut in that scenario.

I fully agree with @the_mother_thing on this point- Your diamond doesn't look "bad" from the photos, just not optimal. I think once around your neck, you wouldn't even notice your current annoyance with it's cut.

Old World Diamonds, Jewels by Grace, Love Affair with Diamonds, Parks Fine Group, CVB Design, and Diamond Zone. I'm sure I'm missing some.

If you re-cut it, you will definitely go below that 2 carat mark. Once you do that, the price per carat drops. So you will definitely not be able to sell it for even near as much as you’ve been offered for the 2 carat stone once it is below 2 carats.

I would also recommend putting it into a necklace. Nobody’s going to get that close to you to see any inclusions. And if they do, they better be your husband.;)2

Start fresh with a new stone if your budget allows it. We’re glad you found pricescope in time for the upgrade.

True, I probably wouldn't need to recut it to use it in that way. I would try it as is first, if I am lucky enough to get to that point! :)

Here are a few I'm considering. I decided not to go the OEC route. It looks even pricier and I'm not sure how it will look with the RB side stones.
The HPD one I have on hold, but not sure about that inclusion.
The biggest question is, with cuts this good, is an H going to look good when I'm used to looking at an E? HPD says their diamonds appear at least 2 color grades whiter. I want that to be the case so I can try to be reasonable with buying a second stone for my ring. :(2
Would appreciate thoughts and thanks again all for your help!

I'm an HPD girl, but of those choices I would go with the WF 1.928ct G (love those proportions).

For reference, I'm color sensitive and I can see tint in a GIA graded H. I recently upgraded to a G and could barely see a bit of difference between the G and the E I was comparing it to. I think a G would be the safest bet.

It would be really hard for me to pass on that first HPD. The light return image on the certificate is perfect ! My second choice would be the 1.92 G.
