My photographer is AMAZING - I live in DE, but i am pretty sure he travels and DC is just a couple hours from us. His website is www.leafo.us

We only have engagement photos now - we're waiting on the wedding photos, but i think he and his wife are incredible photographers - they work so well together, and there are always two photographers for a great price. Plus they are young and fun and make you really comfortable while shooting you. I'll try to find the link i had to my engagement photos.

Thanks Violet! Your pictures are lovely! I remember seeing them before! I didn''t think about DE... I have a friend that got married there, and I loved her wedding photos... need to give her a call!

I really love this photographer''s work. Had she been available on my date I definitely would have considered paying for her to travel to RI from DC to capture our day.

No pics yet, but I liked all three photogs we looked at, and our coordinator recommended one more:

We are using Elaine Studley. Also liked Freed (they have a bunch of different photogs, and Bryan was my fave) and Juan Carlos Briceno. Coord recommended Geoff Chessman (I *think* that was his name).

Trillionaire - i just texted my photog, and he said they LOVE to travel for weddings - check out his website and pricing - they are really great and reasonable. So, if you like him, they would be totally willing to travel to DC!

Violet--Your photos look great! I missed your post on here, but had actually seen them on the photographers blog previously! My brother sent me the link, as photos of him were posted just a few days before yours (with a band he had played with)--small world, isn''t it?

Trill--My wedding isn''t till July, so I can''t speak from experience, but I''m really looking forward to working with my photographer! She''s just gotten into wedding in the past year or two, so doesn''t have a ton of wedding photos on her blog (she used to do mostly baby photography) but I love her work! http://katesmithphotography.wordpress.com/

I''d glanced at each page, but need to go through them more closely this weekend, but you all clearly have impeccable taste, and I am so grateful that you took the time to help me along on my search. One of my fav. highschool friends just got engaged last week, so I am thrilled to death to have a ''Bridal buddy'' to putz through this process with... we just had lunch and are already planning trips to bridal shows!
