Hello!

So I''m in the process of resetting my RB into a Legacy style halo. Would the surprise diamond on the side eat into an eternity wedding band?

Do any surprise diamond owners ever wear a wedding band with their e-rings? I''d hate for my e-ring''s surprise diamond to snack on my wedding ring!

probably not. the *eating* comes from exposed girdles on stones scratching up metal or the diamonds on the band next to it. the surprise stone is bezel set and usually has a tiny bit of metal sticking out so it would just be metal touching metal.

agreed - girdles are like band saws MrsSalvo
Yes and no - the setting edge will wear off quickly, and the diamond if the table is flat on will wear its way through faster than metal to metal.
But it should not be too bad - but no no to any diamonds coming in contact with each other.

mrssalvo - THANK YOU! Yes, the surprise diamonds will be bezel set. I saw one without the surprise diamond and it looked lonely! But the owner wanted the wedding band to sit flush.

Mr. Gary H! Thank you so much!!!! So girdles are the main culprit! Ahhhh! Thank you. Wow, this is tough! I guess I will wear the e-ring by itself or have a custom band designed so that they won''t snack on each other! They''re like those beta fish! They need to be kept apart, eh?

Many thanks!
