Okay, i'm being overly dramatic, but it has been pretty bad. First, I went for a nice long run this morning. (In the 90 degree heat with insane humidity) Apparently somewhere on my run, I lost my house key. DH was at work, so I had to re-trace my steps around the ENTIRE neighborhood trying to find my key. I couldn't find it, so I had my brother in law come over and let me in. (He has a key) Then, I was on my way to go tutor DH's little cousin in reading, and it start POURING rain- and my windshield wipers stop. While i'm going down a very busy 8 lane road!!! Somehow, by the grace of God, I was able to get to a side street and park. I waited until the rain stopped and then drove to a dealership, where they proceeded to tell me that the motor was dead and it was going to cost $450 to replace it!!!!!! ;(

The guy was able to get it down to about $380 for me, but it was still painful! :blackeye:
I am SOOOOO having a few glasses of wine tonight!

So sorry to hear about your bad day. It seems when it rains it pours! (sorry, very bad pun).

On the bright side, you did not have an accident driving without wipers and you were able to get into your house, and now you have an excuse to drink some wine. I hope tomorrow a few diamonds will drop right into your lap out of nowhere!

I'm so glad you're okay!! I had my wipers die on me once, in a quiet little street during a downpour - and that was terrifying enough!

Do have that wine - it's well earned :))

Sorry you've had such a bad day Tuckins. Try to enjoy tonight though (and the wine!), and just think, tomorrow's a new day.

Bad day indeed, Tuckins. Thank god you are OK.. The same thing happened with me in a down pour, the wipers wouldn't work... I pulled over , and got home safely.. Enjoy the wine!!!!

Thanks ladies! ::)

Ugh Tuckins! You definitly deserve those glasses of wine. I think I'll have one with you :)) .

Geez, that sucks. I'm glad you're okay though. that could have been bad. Have a couple BIG glasses of wine.

Wow that is a rough day, glad you came out ok....enjoy the wine, I am having a glass right now myself :appl:

That certainly sounds like a terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Glad you're safe & hope your evening starts to improve. Enjoy the wine!!

Wow, i'm so glad I got my windshield wipers fixed!!! It's pouring here!!

Get RainX? Most rain will just slide off, those heavy enough, wipper will at best just help a little.

That is the kind of day that just makes you want to yell "Do Over!"

True! At least I got some good news... My grandma doesn't have to have any more chemo therapy! (She has lung cancer). She's doing better, but at the same time I found out that my dad is in the hospital with a blood clot in his leg. (He is going to be alright though.)

Yesterday turned out to be a much better day. I went to a baby shower (yay babies) and got to play with my 2 year old god daughter. Cute!!!

This was going to be suggestion. I put rainx on my windows, then use the rainx wiper fluid every so often. That stuff is the best! My fad would use it when we were little, and on road trips if it rained, we would all say, "warp speed!" Since it would just roll off.

Wow! That's very scary! Glad you are ok and were able to get home and enjoy that wine!
