I am from New Zealand, and was hoping to buy some insurance cover for a diamond ring. I would like the insurance to be worldwide, because then it would be covered when it is outside New Zealand. I have asked a few New Zealand insurance companies, and they only have contents insurance that covers it locally i.e. within New Zealand, and no specific jewelry insurance.
Does anyone know of any reliable New Zealand insurance companies that have worldwide jewelry insurance cover? Or what reliable international insurance companies should I consider dealing with? What are the premiums like, and how is payment made etc? Do most of these cover theft and accidental loss? What should I be looking for and asking them about?
Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
