Woah! We''re engaged!

We got engaged last Friday on the way down from Mt. Tallac in Desolation Wilderness near Lake Tahoe. It was a tough, but gorgeous hike and I had absolutely no idea it was going to happen!

On the way down, Mr. Cartwheel started to tell me all the reasons why he loved me and I thought he was just being sweet. We reached a spot with an amazing view and he turned around and said something about our commitment to each other and how now is a good time to celebrate that commitment. He puled out a ring, got down on his knee, and asked me to marry him. I screamed, "WHAT ARE YOU DOING?!" and starting crying. I kept saying over and over, "I have ugly cry face!"

Eventually, I said, "Of course."

I *do* love my ring, but I think I''m going to change the setting. The SO purposely got the most plain setting he could find with the intention that it wouldn''t be a big deal if I changed it. I just think it needs a little love.

I''m going to post in SMTR to get some feedback, so if you all have any ideas...

well when you put it that way... what are your thoughts on halos.
I do Love the simple setting it makes your diamond pop, but if you want something else I''m sure we could toss a few ideas at ya.
