We have the style like #4 and it works great. I love how you can just pop the cork right back off too.

Number 1 exclusively...we have a number 4 that we got as a wedding present and I can never figure out how to use the damn thing. The screwy part just goes up and down and never actually grabs the cork. So it sits in a drawer. Number one takes a tiny bit of oomph but is otherwise fairly idiot-proof, therefore I stick with it

I use one of the wing corkscrews at home and it works like a charm, but also have used #1 in a pinch...I'm not particularly smooth with it, but I can get the job done.
