Basically I'm on Team Not Share, mainly because my sisters (especially my twin sister) love to borrow my stuff and in the past have ruined things by staining them/stretching them out and then washing and DRYINGthem. (I don't machine dry anything because dryers ruin your clothes.)
I think people should only wear their own clothes and shoes...and if you love something I have, go buy it for yourself!

First of all, I, as well as all of my friends, pretty much do not borrow. But we are all happy to lend. Perhaps because it's not abused.
I guess it comes down to helping a friend. A friend of mine isn't going to want to borrow a top of mine because she likes it. In that case, she'll go and buy it herself (so I'm with Thing2 on that theory). But say it's for an interview, or a hot date (OK, we're all married, but still), or something special - then all us gals are VERY helpful. We really enjoy being good friends to one another. But being a good friend doesn't mean shopping in your friend's closet when you're bored with your own clothes!
