Will the events in Israel affect diamond inventory?

Do you think inventory will be less available until things settle down? If so, what do you think the impact will be on prices?

Oh dear... I hope my question wasn't taken the wrong way. It was meant in a purely academic sense, not in an "I hope this doesn't delay my upgrade" sense. As a matter of fact I was planning on calling my jeweler today to make sure he's NOT going on his buying trip at the end of this month.

"In a press release issued on July 19, Simcha Lustig, chairman of the Israel Diamond Institute (IDI,) said that there has been no interruption in the manufacturing or import and export of diamonds in Israel. I think the spirit of the question you''re asking, Al, is good. How, indeed to be helpful.

The circumstances in the Mideast, from any point of view, are challenging. I think it''s hard to take it out of context.

There was nothing terrible in the question. Hopefully, there was nothing terrible in the response.
