About 10 years ago I spent 6 weeks working on a game fishing charter boat on the Great Barrier Reef about 80 miles from land with no phone service, no internet or any use for money. At first it was kind of odd but by the time I came back I did not miss the phone at all and was actually enjoying not having to think about it, I felt almost animalistic. Turning the phone back on almost gave me anxiety with all the messages I knew that I would receive but the feeling of cutting ties electronically like that is quite liberating, I'm thinking I should go through the same technology detox again...

Jordy is right, think of it as a technology detox for a few days.... I just had one too, we had a blackout half of Monday in the suburb I live in and the Internet connection stopped working for 2.5 days in the area I live too

I want to know why there are a lot of Russian women-or perhaps they are European women from somewhere other than Russia, but they have their hair covered in the way that Russian women and Queen Elizabeth II in the rain do and their wedding rings are on their right hands-are crying abut kenny. Is it because he went to Russia for three days? If so, I want to assure them he is really a good guy underneath his boisterous exterior, and also that he is returning here soon.

Both my brothers and my dad died as a result of drug-related crap.

Instead of crying or suppressing it all maybe I try to keep a sense of humor around it to ease the pain.


Anything, including Internet fora or games can be an addictive.
It's kind of wonderful, but can also be kind of sad.

I think humor is very healthy and a great way to cope. That, in my opinion, was crass not funny. Maybe I am in the minority on this but you should respect, more than anyone, that people vary. We all have a right to verbalize how we feel.
