will I be able to tell a difference?

current SP eternity band: .51 ctw, 36 stones (1.42 pts each)

next larger size: .59 ctw, 33 stones (1.79 pts each) -- will I be able to see a difference?

next size: .72 ctw, 30 stones (2.4 pts each) -- this one may be overkill for a .806 center RB??

I'm not sure you'd be able to tell a difference between the .51 and .59 bands. 1.42 and 1.79 pointers channel set would probably look very similar! If you want something bigger than your .51 you currently have, I would try the .72 band. I know you tried on a .66 ring in person and thought it looked fantastic and didn't take away from your ering. I don't think the .72 would look much different. Definitely not overkill. It all depends on personal preference though. Good luck!

I don''t think you''ll be able to tell the difference between the 1.42 pt and the 1.79 pt stones. I believe the difference between is like 0.1 mm which is like the thickness of a piece of paper. You might see a slight difference with the 2.5 pt stones.

0.01 ct is about 1.3 mm
0.02 ct is about 1.5 mm
0.03 ct is about 2.0 mm

2.5 pt is probably all right with a 0.8 ct RB. I think it''ll look great.

good feedback ladies! thanks! Isaac is going to look at their stock and see what they have in the .60-.75 range and let me know on Monday. Hopefully there will be one in my size or very close to my size! It''s hard to find places that sell a ~.75 ct. They all seem to have .5 or 1 carat rings!

Good eyes might be able to see a difference if the two bands are side by side, but I doubt you could pick which one is which if the bands are alone.

Which 2 are you referring to -- the one I have now (.51) and the .59 one? If so, I agree--I don''t know that I''d be able to see the difference. But I know I could see a difference in the larger one. I was thinking--the shared prong I had from SP was .97 ctw and it was still very dainty, so maybe something close to .75 won''t be huge.
